At Safety Zone Driving School, the safety, wellbeing and dignity of every young person is our highest priority.
We are committed to providing safe, respectful and culturally-inclusive training environments for all learners, especially those under the age of 18.
We comply with Queensland’s Child Safe Organisations Act 2024 and implement the recently-introduced Queensland Family and Child Commission (QFCC) 10 Child Safe Standards.
OUR COMMITMENT TO CHILD SAFETY
Child safety and wellbeing are embedded in our leadership, governance and daily practice. We have zero tolerance for abuse, harassment or inappropriate conduct of any kind.
At Safety Zone Driving School, we:
· Embed child safety and wellbeing into our culture, policies and decision‑making.
· Empower young people to speak up and be heard.
· Involve families and carers in promoting safe learning experiences.
· Uphold the Universal Principle of cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
Driving schools that work with children must implement the QFCC Child Safe Standards.
If we provide services to learners aged 17 or under, we must demonstrate how we meet:
· The 10 Child Safe Standards, and
· The Universal Principle of cultural safety
Compliance requirements are being phased across Queensland, with more than 40,000 organisations required to comply.
Screening, Suitability & Accreditation
